I started this blog in 2011 as a rant-space where I could post thoughts and practice writing. Since then, it has evolved into a science communication tool and a place where I can share (what I hope are useful) things I have learned. I don’t have as much time to post as I would like, so some posts are short, but I hope it is of interest. The main topics for the blog are science, skepticism, insects, and nature, but other random distractions will inevitably creep in from time to time as well. If you are interested in finding out more about me, my interests, and my work check out: www.christopherhassall.com. If you want to get in touch you can find my details there or contact me at christopher.hassall [at] googlemail [dot] com. All opinions, thoughts, utterances, etc, are mine alone and not those of my employer or anyone else I have ever met.

The Canadians think you sound Australian?!
You have such a large silver spoon in you mouth you sound like you’re from Surrey rather than Sheffield!
I know!!! I think I’ll probably end up with a stronger English accent than when I started after living here a few years. I am always conscious that I need to avoid sounding antipodean…
Aussie? Naw — they sound like a combo of British and Texan to me.
Oh BTW: is there a reason you don’t have RSS enabled? That’s how I prefer to keep track of my blog reading.
I’ve added the RSS widget to the sidebar on the right – let me know if it doesn’t work. Thanks for pointing that out!
